2.0400 BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES<br />

2.0401 BOARD OF REVIEW<br />

A. Composition<br />

The membership of the Board of Review shall consist of five (5) residents<br />

of the City of Marinette none of whom occupy any public office in the City<br />

of Marinette municipal government or who are publicly employed by the<br />

City Marinette; said members to be appointed by the Mayor subject to the<br />

confirmation of the City Council. Three (3) members shall have concurrent<br />

two (2) year terms <strong>and</strong> two (2) members shall have concurrent three (3) year<br />

terms. In addition to the five regular members, the Mayor shall appoint,<br />

subject to confirmation by the City Council, an alternate member <strong>for</strong> a term<br />

of three years who shall act with full power when a regular member refuses<br />

or is unable to vote on any given matter.<br />

B. Duties<br />

The duties <strong>and</strong> functions of the Board of Review shall be as prescribed<br />

Sections 70.46 <strong>and</strong> 70.47, Wis. Stats. Members of the Board of Review<br />

shall receive Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00) per diem.<br />

C. Meetings<br />

The Board of Review shall meet annually any time during the 30 day period<br />

beginning on the second Monday of May at the City Hall of the City of<br />

Marinette, <strong>and</strong> notice of such meeting shall be published pursuant to the<br />

State Statutes. The Board may adjourn from day to day or from time to time,<br />

until such time as its business is completed, providing that adequate notice<br />

of each adjournment is so given.<br />

D. Confidentiality of Income Approach In<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

Pursuant to WI-ST Section 70.47(7)(af), any in<strong>for</strong>mation about income or<br />

expenses that is provided to the Assessor shall be confidential except <strong>for</strong><br />

persons using the in<strong>for</strong>mation in the discharge of duties imposed by law or<br />

of the duties of their office or by order of a court. Any such in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

provided, unless a court determines that it is inaccurate, is not subject to the<br />

right of inspection or copying under WI-ST Sec. 19.35(1).<br />

2.0402 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS<br />

A. There is hereby created a Board of Public Works consisting of the City<br />

Attorney, the Mayor of the City, the Director of Public Works, the City<br />

Comptroller, <strong>and</strong> five (5) members of the Council to be appointed by the<br />

Mayor. The City Clerk shall serve as the Board's recording secretary. The<br />

five (5) members of the Council shall hold annual terms.<br />

B. The members of the Board of Public Works shall, on the first Tuesday of<br />

May of each year, choose a president of the Board from their number.<br />
