Compost tea/liquid manure/weed tea:
These homemade fertiliser options can be
easily made by steeping compost, manure
or weeds in a bucket of water for however
long you like, but the longer the better.
Weed tea will take longer and require
frequent stirring to help the decomposition
of the weeds. Be sure to remove any weed
seeds that may float to the top of
the bucket.
Liquid worm castings: The liquid that
collects at the bottom of the worm farm can
be diluted down to the colour of weak tea and
applied to all garden plants. Sometimes it’s
amusingly called “worm wee”.
