Pastoral Information This next section tells you about the Pastoral structure and about some of the people in school who look after you outside of lessons. It also gives you information about assemblies and school Masses. The school rules are also contained in this section, in addition to information about some of the important school policies. Don’t forget though, if you have any queries about the Pastoral life of the school, you can always ask your Form Tutor or Head of Year. What is the Pastoral structure like? Pastoral Organisation Every student is allocated to a Form Tutor with whom they will register twice a day. Your Form Tutor is the first person to whom you would turn for help and advice. The Form Tutor has the responsibility for overseeing the welfare, behaviour and academic progress of students in their tutor groups. Each Year group is led by a Head of Year. The Head of Year has overall responsibility for the students in that year. The Senior Deputy Head , Mr Reddin, co-ordinates the work of the pastoral staff. To ensure consistency, if your parents have a query or a need to pass on information, they are asked to contact the Form Tutor, who will forward the relevant information to the Head of Year or the Senior Deputy Head as necessary. Parents of boarding students may also contact the Boys’ Housemaster, Mr Gilchrist or the Girls’ Housemistress, Mrs Leite. The table below outlines the Head of Year and the Form Tutors for the academic year starting in September <strong>2016</strong>.
