SUMMARY<br />
This Part authorizes the State Controller to transfer the remaining cash balance in the<br />
Beverage Container Enforcement Fund, Other Special Revenue Funds account in the Department<br />
of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to General Fund unappropriated surplus no later than<br />
August 30, 2017.<br />
PART BBB<br />
Sec. BBB-1 Transfer balances from Other Special Revenue Funds accounts.<br />
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, at the close of fiscal year 2017-18, the State<br />
Controller shall transfer $500,000 from available balances in Other Special Revenue Funds<br />
accounts within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to the General Fund<br />
unappropriated surplus. On or before June 30, 2018, the Commissioner of the Department of<br />
Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry shall determine from which accounts the funds must be<br />
transferred so that the sum equals $500,000 and notify the State Controller and the Joint Standing<br />
Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs of the amounts to be transferred from each<br />
account.<br />

SUMMARY<br />
This Part allows the State Controller to transfer cash balances from Other Special<br />
Revenue Funds accounts in the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry at the end<br />
of fiscal year 2017-18 to the General Funds unappropriated surplus. Other Special Revenue<br />
Funds accounts will be determined by the Department prior to June 30, 2018.<br />

Sec. CCC-1. 5 MRSA §7-B, as revised by PL 2013, c. 405, Pt. A, §§23, 24, is further<br />
amended to read:<br />
§ 7-B Use of state vehicles for commuting<br />
A state-owned or state-leased vehicle may not be used by any employee to commute<br />
between home and work, except for those vehicles authorized and assigned to employees of the<br />
Baxter State Park Authority and to law enforcement officials within the following organizational<br />
units: Bureau of State Police; Maine Drug Enforcement Agency; Office of the State Fire<br />
Marshal; the division within the Department of Public Safety designated by the Commissioner of<br />
Public Safety to enforce the law relating to the manufacture, importation, storage, transportation<br />
and sale of all liquor and to administer those laws relating to licensing and collection of taxes on<br />
malt liquor and wine; Bureau of Motor Vehicles; Bureau of Marine Patrol; the forest protection<br />
unit within the Bureau of Forestry; Bureau of Warden Service; and Bureau of Parks and Lands;<br />
