PART TTT<br />

Sec. TTT-1. 20-A MRSA §7209, sub-§4, E, as enacted by PL 2013, c. 338, §1, is<br />

repealed and the following is enacted in its place:<br />

E. Report annually by November 30th to the commissioner or the commissioner’s<br />

designee on student outcomes and the fiscal standing of the Child Development Services System<br />

with the specific content and in the specific format requested by the commissioner.<br />

SUMMARY<br />

This Part changes fiscal reporting requirements to be made to the commissioner rather<br />

than the joint committees of the Legislature having jurisdiction over education and health and<br />

human services.<br />

PART UUU<br />

Sec. UUU-1. Transfer from General Fund unappropriated surplus; Fund for<br />

Efficient Delivery of Educational Services, Other Special Revenue Funds account.<br />

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Controller shall transfer $5,000,000 from<br />

the General Fund unappropriated surplus to the Fund for Efficient Delivery of Educational<br />

Services, Other Special Revenue Funds account within the Department of Education no later<br />

than June 30, 2018.<br />

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Controller shall transfer $5,000,000 from<br />

Services , Other Special Revenue Funds account within the Department of Education no later<br />

SUMMARY<br />

This Part authorizes the State Controller to transfer $5,000,000 in each fiscal year of the<br />

2018-2019 biennium, as a one-time transfer, from the General Fund unappropriated surplus to<br />

the Fund for Efficient Delivery of Educational Services, Other Special Revenue account within<br />

the Department of Education.<br />
