Sec. ZZZZ-3. 26 MRSA §1081, sub-§2, as amended by PL 1981, c. 470, Pt. A, §144, is<br />
further amended to read:<br />
2. Salaries. The members of the commission shall receive a fixed weekly salary set by<br />
the Commissioner of Labor in accordance with Title 2, section 626, section 1401-B, subsection<br />
1-C, and shall be paid from the Employment Security Administration Fund.<br />
Sec. ZZZZ-4. 26 MRSA §1081, sub-§4, is enacted to read:<br />
4. Removal. Members must be sworn and may be removed by the Governor for<br />
inefficiency, willful neglect of duty or malfeasance in office, but only with the review and<br />
concurrence of the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over labor<br />
matters upon hearing in executive session or by impeachment. Before removing a commission<br />
member, the Governor shall notify the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of<br />
Representatives of the removal and the reasons for the removal.<br />
Sec. ZZZZ-5. 26 MRSA §1401-B, sub-1-B, as amended by PL 2013, c. 467, §5, is<br />
further amended to read:<br />
B. The commissioner shall appoint to serve at the commissioner's pleasure and set the<br />
salaries of the:<br />
(1) Deputy Commissioner;<br />
(2) Director of Legislative Affairs;<br />
(3) Director of Operations;<br />
(3) Director of Communications;<br />
(5) Director, Bureau of Labor Standards;<br />
(6) Director, Bureau of Employment Services;<br />
(7) Director, Bureau of Rehabilitation Services;<br />
(8) Director, Bureau of Unemployment Compensation.<br />
Sec. ZZZZ-6. 26 MRSA §1401-B, sub§-1, C, is enacted to read:<br />
C. The commissioner shall set the salaries of:<br />
