Sec. NNNNN-2. 25 MRSA, §1509-A, as amended by PL 2013, c. 368, Pt. EEE, §1, is<br />

further amended to read:<br />

Beginning in fiscal year 2013-142017-18, state funding for the Department of Public Safety,<br />

Bureau of State Police must be provided as follows:<br />

1. Highway Fund. Thirty-five percent must be allocated from the Highway Fund pursuant<br />

to Title 23, section 1653; and<br />

2. General Fund. Sixty-five One hundred percent must be appropriated from the General<br />

Fund.<br />

PART NNNNN<br />

SUMMARY<br />

This Part repeals the section of law that requires the Department of Public Safety, Bureau<br />

of State Police program, to determine activities that may be eligible for funding from the<br />

Highway Fund and changes the allocation of positions and All Other in the Bureau of State<br />

Police program from thirty-five percent Highway Fund and sixty-five percent General Fund to<br />

one hundred percent General Fund.<br />

PART OOOOO<br />

Sec. OOOOO-1. Transfer; Gambling Control Board; General Fund.<br />

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Controller shall transfer $1,000,000 in<br />

unexpended funds from the Gambling Control Board program, Other Special Revenue Funds<br />

account in the Department of Public Safety to the General Fund unappropriated surplus by the<br />

close of fiscal year 2018-19.<br />

PART OOOOO<br />

SUMMARY<br />

This Part allows the State Controller to transfer balances from Gambling Control Board<br />

program, Other Special Revenue Funds account in the Department of Public Safety at the end of<br />

fiscal year 2018-19 to the General Fund unappropriated surplus.<br />

PART PPPPP<br />

Sec. PPPPP-1. 4 MRSA §1610-K is enacted to read:<br />

§1610-K. Additional securities<br />

Notwithstanding any limitation on the amount of securities that may be issued pursuant to<br />

section 1606, subsection 2, the authority may issue additional securities in an amount not to<br />

exceed $100,000,000 outstanding at any one time for capital repairs and improvements to<br />

buildings within the University of Maine System.<br />
