BRUSH YOUR TEETH AND FLOSS EVERY DAY
Brush and floss daily, even if you are pressed for time. The time you take
caring for your teeth pays off. This consistent maintenance is the most important
part of caring for your teeth. It’s simple, cheap, and doesn’t take that much time.
For a healthy mouth, brush twice each day instead of one time. It is important
to brush in the morning in order to eliminate accumulated bacteria from
sleeping. It is also essential to brush before bed so that you get as much food
and bacteria out of your mouth before it goes for hours without being cleaned.
Rinse with some apple cider vinegar if you want healthier teeth. Do this before brushing.
Vinegar helps remove stains, kill bacteria from your mouth and whiten your teeth.
TAKE PROPER CARE OF
YOUR MOUTH
Smoking is very bad for your
gums and teeth. Even if you don’t
notice it yet, smoking is taking
a toll on your dental hygiene.
You are well advised to stop
smoking as quickly as possible.
If you need help quitting, your
physician or dentist will be
more than happy to advise
you on the best way to do so.
Watch the amount of sugar
you consume to avoid cavities.
The more sugar you ingest,
the greater your chances of
developing cavities. Fruit juice
and soda are extremely high in
sugar and cause a lot of damage
to your teeth; therefore, you
should drink water instead. If
you are serious about keeping
your teeth healthy, avoid foods
with lots of sugar.
THE DANGERS OF CERTAIN FOODS
If you are in the middle of a teeth-whitening procedure, you should avoid
any food or drink that can cause your teeth to stain. You don’t want all your efforts
to be in vain because you stick with the same bad habits. Not only will you have
a brighter smile, but you will also be making a positive improvement in your life.
