hemorrhoids, try using witch hazel. Witch<br />

hazel relieves pain because it shrinks<br />

hemorrhoid tissue. You can add witch<br />

hazel in a sitz bath. You can also apply it<br />

using a cotton ball, but only leave it on for<br />

about 10 minutes. It may surprise you to<br />

learn that warm water can effectively treat<br />

hemorrhoid pain. Use warm water on your<br />

rectum for around ten minutes per day and<br />

then put a cold towel on the hemorrhoids.<br />

Ingredients for a sitz bath can be purchased<br />

from drugstores and at many grocery stores.<br />

As silly as it may sound, a portable<br />

cushion could be a helpful tool to<br />

overcome hemorrhoid pain. Even if you’re<br />

embarrassed to use the cushion at work,<br />

you can still sit on it at home or in the car<br />

to help relieve hemorrhoid pain.<br />

AVOID STRAINING DURING BOWEL<br />

MOVEMENTS<br />

One of the things that cause hemorrhoids<br />

is too much straining during bowel<br />

movements. You can soften your<br />

stool by increasing your water intake<br />

and eating foods that have not been<br />

excessively refined. It can also be helpful<br />

to assume a squatting position when<br />

having a bowel movement, as this helps<br />
