UCD and PwC promote talent development<br />

University College Dublin (UCD) and<br />

PwC Ireland have agreed a seven-year<br />

strategic partnership. The agreement<br />

includes three key areas where the<br />

organisations will work together:<br />

education and talent development;<br />

thought leadership and innovation;<br />

and corporate social responsibility. The<br />

arrangement involves collaboration on<br />

the support of leadership development<br />

of high-performance, high-potential<br />

talent; development of internship<br />

programmes, mentoring and academic<br />

programmes as well as joint research<br />

and promoting equality in education<br />

was one of 16 members from a range of<br />

leading companies in Ireland to visit<br />

Brussels recently as part of a delegation<br />

from the European Chamber of Ireland<br />

to discuss Brexit-related issues. The<br />

specific purpose of this two-day trip<br />

was to ensure that key EU decisionmakers<br />

understood the challenges<br />

Brexit will present for businesses<br />

operating in Ireland.<br />

The delegation met with, among<br />

others, the German EU Commissioner,<br />

Günther Oettinger; Irish EU<br />

Commissioner, Phil Hogan; Irish and<br />

German MEPs; and Irish and German<br />

permanent representatives.<br />
