AAT FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE IN ACCOUNTING LEVEL 2 (DAYTIME OR AFTERNOON/EVENING)<br />

A 100% fee reduction may apply<br />

On this course you will study five units and to achieve this qualification you will need to successfully complete four unit assessments<br />

and one synoptic assessment. All assessments are set and marked by the AAT and are computer based. The units are: Bookkeeping<br />

Transactions, Bookkeeping Controls, Elements of Costing and Working Effectively in Accounting and Using Accounting Software.<br />

The synoptic assessment will cover four of the five units and is two hours long. It is strongly recommended that you have GCSE English<br />

and maths or equivalent before starting this qualification.<br />

AAT ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING LEVEL 3 (DAYTIME OR AFTERNOON / EVENING)<br />

Level 3 Entitlement or an Advanced Learner Loan may apply to you<br />

On this course you will study six units and to achieve this qualification you will need to successfully complete four unit assessments<br />

and one synoptic assessment. All assessments are set and marked by the AAT and are computer based. The units are: Advanced<br />

Bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation, Management Accounting: Costing, Indirect Tax, Ethics for Accountants, Spreadsheets for<br />

Accounting. The synoptic assessment will cover all of the six units and is three hours long. To start on Level 3 you must have successfully<br />

completed Level 2 or have significant experience of manual double-entry bookkeeping techniques.<br />

AAT PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING LEVEL 4 (DAYTIME OR AFTERNOON/ EVENING)<br />

Advanced Learner Loan may apply to you<br />

On this course, you will study three compulsory units and two optional units. You will need to successfully complete unit assessments<br />

in all five units and successfully complete one synoptic assessment to achieve this qualification. All unit assessments are computer<br />

based and set and marked by the AAT. The compulsory units are: Financial Statements of Limited Companies, Management Accounting -<br />

Budgeting and Management Accounting - Decision and Control. The synoptic assessments cover all of the topics in the three compulsory<br />

units as well as Accounting Systems and Controls. You will also have to complete two optional units. You must have successfully<br />

completed Level 3 before progressing on to Level 4.<br />

PLEASE NOTE - <strong>Shipley</strong> <strong>College</strong> will not be offering all five optional units, we will most likely be offering Credit Management and Personal<br />

Tax. All assessments are two and a half to three hours long.<br />
