AAT FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE IN ACCOUNTING LEVEL 2 (DAYTIME OR AFTERNOON/EVENING)

On this course you will study five units and to achieve this qualification you will need to successfully complete four unit assessments
and one synoptic assessment. All assessments are set and marked by the AAT and are computer based. The units are: Bookkeeping
Transactions, Bookkeeping Controls, Elements of Costing and Working Effectively in Accounting and Using Accounting Software.
The synoptic assessment will cover four of the five units and is two hours long. It is strongly recommended that you have GCSE English
and maths or equivalent before starting this qualification.

AAT ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING LEVEL 3 (DAYTIME OR AFTERNOON / EVENING)
Level 3 Entitlement or an Advanced Learner Loan may apply to you
On this course you will study six units and to achieve this qualification you will need to successfully complete four unit assessments
and one synoptic assessment. All assessments are set and marked by the AAT and are computer based. The units are: Advanced
Bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation, Management Accounting: Costing, Indirect Tax, Ethics for Accountants, Spreadsheets for
Accounting. The synoptic assessment will cover all of the six units and is three hours long. To start on Level 3 you must have successfully
completed Level 2 or have significant experience of manual double-entry bookkeeping techniques.

AAT PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING LEVEL 4 (DAYTIME OR AFTERNOON/ EVENING)
Advanced Learner Loan may apply to you
On this course, you will study three compulsory units and two optional units. You will need to successfully complete unit assessments
in all five units and successfully complete one synoptic assessment to achieve this qualification. All unit assessments are computer
based and set and marked by the AAT. The compulsory units are: Financial Statements of Limited Companies, Management Accounting -
Budgeting and Management Accounting - Decision and Control. The synoptic assessments cover all of the topics in the three compulsory
units as well as Accounting Systems and Controls. You will also have to complete two optional units. You must have successfully
completed Level 3 before progressing on to Level 4.
PLEASE NOTE - Shipley College will not be offering all five optional units, we will most likely be offering Credit Management and Personal
Tax. All assessments are two and a half to three hours long.
