AWARENESS OF THE MENTAL CAPACITY ACT 2005<br />

Do you support people who at <strong>time</strong>s lack mental capacity or are interested in finding out more? You will gain the knowledge and<br />

understanding required to provide support and care to individuals in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. You also cover the<br />

importance of complying with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 Code of Practice when working with individuals who lack mental capacity.<br />

You will need to have a good level of English and on the first class you will undertake an assessment to confirm this. Please note: you will<br />

attend college for six sessions between the dates shown below on alternate weeks.<br />

UNDERSTANDING AUTISM LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE<br />

Do you support people with autism? This qualification is designed for a wide range of learners who wish to develop their understanding<br />

of autism and the principles of supporting individuals with autism. It covers the person-centred approach and influence of positive<br />

communication methods, how to support positive behaviour and how individuals with autism can be supported to live healthy and<br />

fulfilled lives. Please note: you will attend college for eight sessions between the dates shown below on alternate weeks.<br />
