Or is that being silly<br />
Were you born with them terribly wrong?<br />
But loving you, such as I do<br />
There’s no point getting into a stew<br />
Over what doesn’t work<br />
So with all of your quirks<br />
I take quite a liberal view<br />
This includes not being quite sure of me<br />
You wonder if I’m your cup of tea<br />
But give up your doubt<br />
I’m not such a lout<br />
Then happy both of us could be<br />
She said to her prospective lover<br />
“I’m telling you, please do not bother,<br />
I don’t like to be mean<br />
But you’re just not my scene,<br />
You remind me too much of my brother”<br />
But when he had gone and was taken<br />
She had second thoughts and was wakened<br />
To their flow and his spark<br />
And then wanted to lark<br />
So when he would not, she was shaken<br />

The trees that surround me are few<br />
Though each one reminds me of you<br />
When I lean on a trunk<br />
I feel like a monk<br />
That should please you, though it makes me blue<br />
Your feet are so lovely and slight<br />
Just ready for you to take flight<br />
I’ll give a head start<br />
