Were you born with them terribly wrong?
But loving you, such as I do
There’s no point getting into a stew
Over what doesn’t work
So with all of your quirks
I take quite a liberal view
This includes not being quite sure of me
You wonder if I’m your cup of tea
But give up your doubt
I’m not such a lout
Then happy both of us could be
She said to her prospective lover
“I’m telling you, please do not bother,
I don’t like to be mean
But you’re just not my scene,
You remind me too much of my brother”
But when he had gone and was taken
She had second thoughts and was wakened
To their flow and his spark
And then wanted to lark
So when he would not, she was shaken

Is there cure for this complex conundrum
Which could save both of them from bummerdom?
If she’d take him to bed
They’d not know who was led

The trees that surround me are few
Though each one reminds me of you
