Since opening a retail<br />
store last year, Charmed<br />
Flowers has become<br />
known for its beautiful<br />
flowers that are just a little<br />
bit different.<br />
“Local businesses in the area<br />
have become great fans, they simply<br />
love our style and service” says<br />
owner Ginny Fagan.<br />
As a full service florist providing<br />
flowers for everyday occasions,<br />

“People sometimes don’t know<br />
what can be done with flowers so I<br />
like to find out what couples<br />
envisage for their day and create<br />

flowers” says Ginny.<br />
While every wedding is<br />
uniquely different, people often<br />
recognise Ginny’s personal style<br />
of floristry which is quite natural,<br />
rustic and unstructured. “I love big<br />
blooms like peony roses, dahlias<br />
and hydrangeas and enjoy sourcing<br />
items like hop vines to provide a<br />
less conventional background” she<br />
says.<br />
Florists are often called upon<br />
to replicate overseas trends and<br />
currently wedding styles include<br />
long lush table garlands, big, loose<br />
hand tied bouquets, floral crowns<br />
and hanging<br />
floral installations.<br />
We can do almost anything that<br />
bridal couples want, but they often<br />
don’t realise the cost and time<br />
involved for elaborate floral effects.<br />
We often suggest combining fresh<br />
flowers with our hire range of<br />
beautiful silk floral props to make it<br />
more affordable” says Ginny. “A big<br />
trend coming through this wedding<br />
season is foliage and lots of it. The<br />
effect is informal but so pretty,<br />
it’s very natural and lush which is<br />
why I think it appeals to so many<br />
couples.”<br />
The Charmed Flowers team<br />
provides free consultations and<br />
meets<br />
with most couples before the<br />
wedding to discuss their<br />
preferences, colours and<br />
requirements. An itemised quote is<br />
then emailed out and once accepted,<br />
the florist will then “touch base” 6-8<br />
weeks before the wedding and then<br />
again 1-2 weeks before to finalise all<br />
the details.<br />
