This afternoon is the launch of emerge 2010, the annual anthology from Simon<br />
Fraser University’s Writer’s Studio. It provides a tantaliz<strong>in</strong>g taste of new work from<br />
those who have participated <strong>in</strong> the Studio this year. Come and hear from new<br />
voices <strong>in</strong> our midst—25 new writers who span three generations and who write <strong>in</strong><br />
the genres of non-fi ction, poetry, fi ction and lyric prose.<br />

This is the 75th anniversary of Pengu<strong>in</strong>, the <strong>in</strong>novative publisher of pocket books<br />
<strong>in</strong>tended to make great literature available to the masses. S<strong>in</strong>ce its <strong>in</strong>ception,<br />
Pengu<strong>in</strong> has been renowned as a provider of classic literature. Four celebrated<br />
authors, all published by Pengu<strong>in</strong>, will read from their own work, and will talk about<br />
the Pengu<strong>in</strong> classics that have affected their lives and their writ<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
