Big Bang Theory:
Creating Sound Waves

How should we pray?
That’s a great question. How did
Jesus pray? That’s a good answer.
Jesus prayed early in the morning
before the sun rose and
gave its light– consistently (Mark
1:35). He set aside this time to
be with His Father in Heaven.
It wasn’t five minutes. It was a
generous time slot so that He
didn’t have to hurry his relationship
with His Father, or become
too busy. You can’t hurry a good
relationship. You are relaxed,
generally speaking, when you
are in a good relationship, so
you are not clock-watching.
Another thing is that you don’t
want interruptions to that good
relationship, so you go to a place
where interruptions will not happen.
It may be your “closet”, a
special place at home where no
one intrudes, and you can relax
and focus on your conversation
with the Most High. You could
find a quiet place in the hills, as
Jesus did, or by some water, or
under a tree.
You can use the pattern of the
Lord’s Prayer to get started,
(Matthew 6:9–13) something
Like “Dear Father, Abba, it’s so
great to get to talk to you tonight.
I adore you and worship your
Holy Name because you rescued
me from trouble, and so on.
Paul says “Pray without ceasing”
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18),
so while it is a thing of personal
privacy between you and the Almighty,
it becomes the occupation
of your mind at all times.
Whatever you are doing and
whenever you are doing it, you
are doing it with God. It’s like a
toddler who follows his daddy
round the garden asking questions
constantly because he just
loves being with his daddy. We
are God’s toddlers! We want answers!
This is how we get them!
Again Paul says that he prays
in tongues more than you all (1
Corinthians 14:8). Praying in
tongues is using a private prayer
language that fast paces the
exchange of your thoughts and
