Prrayer Has a very simple definition. Prayer
is conversation with our Father who art in
Heaven.
Just imagine that. We can actually talk with the Creator
of the amazing, immense universe, of which we
are such a tiny, miniscule part. We can do that because
He is interested in us. He knows us intimately,
can number the hairs on our heads (which is more
than we can do) and the thoughts that run through
our brains. Nothing is hidden from Him, not even our
most secret thought.

What a privilege He gives us, that He wants to communicate
with us. In fact that is why He created us
– because He wanted a family of like-minded fascinating
people. In spite of our errors, He wants to
adopt us into His family and become the Father to us
that man could never be. Then, father-like, He wants
to teach us how we can become His family and indeed
how we can be part
of the “family business”
of finding potential
family members.
That is the whole
purpose of creating
heaven,
earth and us –
expanding the
Family.
On another track,
what do you do
mostly with your best
friends? I’ll bet it’s “talk, talk,
talk.” That’s what friendship is
all about – communication. How
do you make a friend? You talk
with someone. Conversation is
the basis of friendship, business,
family, or any other group that
you might belong to. Even in
sport you find the team doesn’t
go too well unless you communicate
with each other, because
teamwork demands communication
in the skill building process.

block of just about anything
