will gain the victory, and he will
trample down our enemies. All
of these things flow from the
presence of God.”
By receiving His gifts, accepting
salvation, speaking of Him,
trusting in Him, obeying His
word, and resting within Him. It
is the strength, the quietness,
and the comfort with which we
must holdfast with the Lord. The
will is strong, and since the freedom
lies within each and every
one of us to be above the matters
of the flesh, our efforts tend
to fail.
It is not easy to consider a life,
of long works, when left to our
own thoughts, we must weigh
personal gain, against “the
right thing to do.” However, the
awakening of the spirit; the
presumption of the resting soul,
and knowing in the presence of
the Lord, all of these feelings, or
maybe just one? Just one would
be so worth accepting Him, living
for Him, and soaking with Him.
Soaking is gracious and merciful,
but it takes effort to be blessed
in our lives. You must be strong
to reap the fruit of the Lord. You
must tolerate the resistance of
the nonbelievers, and those who
turn you away from the blessings.
The justice of the Lord
for those who choose to wait,
those who choose to put forth
determination, because He is
worth it, and soaking is worth it.
Soak through the Bible, soak
through music, and soak through
prayer, as long as you seek that
quietness, that closeness with
the Lord. Soak in a chair, on a
bed, under a tree, lying on a
park bench, or on the floor. Soak
when, where, and how- if soaking
in the church is where you
feel the presence of the Lord,
then go there. Some people feel
closest to the Lord, when sitting
in the cemetery with those who
have traveled before them. Then
go there, and soak. The Lord is
so worth it, and believe it – you
are worth it, too.
