vintage fair caMe to creSSing teMple for helen rollaSon charity
Over 2,500 vintage and retro lovers rolled back the years and
dressed to impress for Vintage Fair on Sunday 8th July, raising
over £13,000 for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity!
In its ninth year, the annual charity event was held at Cressing
Temple Barns near Braintree and showcased a myriad of vintage
stalls including pop up hair and beauty parlour, kitchenalia,
fashion, jewellery, pre-loved furniture and more. Over 130 classic
cars and motorbikes were on display including vehicles from the
Austin 7 Club, classic Fords and Minis, American cars as well as
Harley Davidsons, Volkswagens, Messerschmitts and members of
the Rochford Hundred Vintage Tractor & Engine Club with their
stationary engines. Live music was provided by rock’n’roll band
Kingsmen who played their vintage instruments from the fifties,
and dancing from LJ’s Jive School.
Other delicious food options such as pizzas, a hog roast, gourmet
hot dogs, waffles and fudge were also on offer.
The fair has been a great success and looks set to have raised
over £13,000, which will go towards supporting those affected
by cancer in Essex, London and Hertfordshire. We are a local
charity, serving our local community, and every penny raised at
this event will go towards ensuring we continue to provide the
best possible cancer support care now and in the future.
We would like to thank Cressing Temple Barns for again hosting
our event, all of our visitors, stall holders and of course our
supporters for making it such a fantastic event!”
“It was fantastic to see so
many people coming along to
the Vintage Fair to enjoy
themselves while supporting
our charity. There were lots of
opportunities for shopping
with a selection of stalls
selling vintage fashion, crafts,
jewellery, kitchenalia, furniture and collectables. Plenty of
refreshments were available, including Molly Moo’s Ices and a
VW Camper van bar offering a range of alcoholic beverages.
