body, of His flesh, and of His bones.”
American Revised: “Because we are members
of His body.”
Behold how greatly this verse is cut down in
the Revised!
See how, in 2 Timothy 4;1, the time of the
judgment is obliterated, and Christ’s Second
Coming is obscured.
King James: “I charge thee therefore before
God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the
quick and the dead at His appearing and His
kingdom.”
American Revised: “I charge thee in the sight
of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the
living and the dead, and by His appearing and His
kingdom.”
