Designers go green at
Home & Garden Show
A fast-growing trend in design is “green
living” as New Zealanders become
increasingly aware of the importance of
sustainable building and interiors.
In recognition of the trend,
Green Living is the theme
for this year's Interior
Design Awards, which are
hosted at the Waikato Home
& Garden Show.
In the competition, interior
designers are challenged
to incorporate “green living”
into a 5m x 4m stand.
From incorporating sustainable
materials and energy-efficient
products to

bringing outdoor influences
inside, they are tasked with
getting creative.
Visitors to the Show can
see the results from October
4-7 at Claudelands Event
Centre. They can also check
out what’s on offer from more
than 450 exhibitors, covering
everything from smart technology
in the new Samsung

solutions for sheds, tiny
houses, sleepouts and more at
the Street of Homes.
