create a garden area at the top<br />
of what is known as ‘Radar Hill’<br />
is almost ready to launch!!<br />
Firstly, the new owners of the<br />
land, ‘Supported Business’ have<br />
granted the Foundation a 50<br />
year lease.<br />

Essex County Council has also<br />
agreed a further 10 x 7 metre<br />
area for us to create this new<br />
garden area. The permissive<br />
footpath and licence for this all<br />
to move forward, is now in the<br />
final stage.<br />
It has been our intention from the beginning to create a<br />
peaceful rest area for the community to use. With the funds so<br />
generously donated by the local community this year, we have<br />
commissioned, and purchased, two solid oak benches which will<br />
form the seating area for those who wish to sit, contemplate and<br />
view our town from the hill. In time, and with help, we intend to<br />
create and maintain this oasis of calm for everyone to enjoy.<br />
This is where we need volunteers. . .<br />
• On Saturday 17th November we need help to carry, and plant,<br />
30 hedging shrubs. Please bring a spade and a bottle of water<br />

• On Sunday 18th November we need at least six strong men<br />
(or ladies!) to carry each of the 6ft benches from the bottom of<br />
Radar Hill to the garden area.<br />
Everyone is welcome to come and see the garden area, gathering<br />
to remember Holly this Sunday 17th (late morning), just before<br />
the anniversary on 20th November. Exact times will be confirmed<br />
on Facebook.<br />
