DRESSING THE PART
As an interior designer, Andrea Bazilus stays true to her knack for style

As the owner of Red Egg Design Group,
Andrea Bazilus believes that fashion and
design go hand-in-hand. And because of
her role as an interior designer, she loves
taking risks when it comes to style, whether
it’s a trendy new dress for herself or a funky
throw pillow for a client.
Since Bazilus works with so much
color, she prefers to dress in neutral tones
and dark hues, incorporating a few hippie
and bohemian elements into her overall,
self-proclaimed classic and timeless look.
The busy mom appreciates Blake Lively’s
effortlessly hip style, and swears by eyeliner,
a bold lipstick and killer high heels to
take her look from day to night.
Although she is typically running
around shopping for projects, Bazilus errs
on the casual side for her everyday look
and shares, “I love that my career lets me
express myself through my style, and I don’t
have to follow any type of dress code.”
Saks Fifth Avenue is her favorite local
store, but the travel fanatic loves to peruse
the boutiques when exploring new places.
“Some of my favorite clothing items
have come from European travels and stores
off the beaten path,” says Bazilus, adding
that she plays by a few of her own fashion
rules. “Know what works best for you, your
lifestyle, and what you enjoy to wear. If a
trend doesn’t feel right, then don’t do it!”
What trends are you into right now?
Growing up in the ’90s, I’m enjoying the fresh
take on some of the trends that I wore as a kid.
I especially love all of the velvet and crop tops
that are back.
What is your must-have item? A really
nice handbag. It can elevate any outfit and will
last for decades with the proper care.
What is your most prized possession?
A cream lambskin woven handbag that was
custom-made for me in Florence, Italy. The artist
hand-embossed my initials in 24-karat gold leaf
and it’s one of a kind!
