Christina Church covers clients’ lives - literally
Christina Church has been working
in the insurance industry for 20
years with North Star Resource
Group. Growing up in an insurance family,
she has been around it her entire life.
“As I started learning more about the
industry I was shocked that my own family
was so underinsured. It actually frightened
me. Thank goodness nothing catastrophic
happened during that time, we could have
lost everything we have worked so hard
for. I had no idea that your wages can be
docked for years if you are underinsured,
and you can’t pay out of pocket. There is
almost no education on this topic, I want
to change that” said Church.
When North Star Resource Group
made the decision to expand into the
property and casualty industry and open
Borealis Insurance Services, Church
jumped at the opportunity. Borealis was
formed to work side by side with North
Star’s 160 financial advisors to analyze
their clients’ current risk management
program, educate them about coverage
options available in the marketplace, and
empower them to make the appropriate
changes to fulfill what is important to their
family or business. As an independent
agency, Borealis has access to many of
the industry’s premier carriers and the
ability to find the best coverage and value
for their clients.
“It is simple, “When your values are
clear, decisions are easy. My goal is to
educate families and small businesses
and to protect them from the unknown.
My niche is getting my clients higher
coverage to eliminate any gaps they may
have, while potentially saving them some
money. Surprisingly, this actually happens
the majority of the time, which is amazing!
I am very proud of the fact that much
of my training has been acquired in the
trenches. I am naturally inquisitive and ask
a lot of questions. No two cases are the
same and I have the opportunity to learn
something from each one. It also, makes
my job very interesting and keeps me on
my toes!”
While some find insurance boring,
Church is proud to take on the ‘boring’
part of life and ensure that her clients are
covered from risk. She is also certified in
working with Premier Families. “This gives
me even more insight to help the client
who may have multiple homes, antique
cars, fun toys, etc. These clients usually
have heirlooms and/or collections that
they have worked their entire life to accumulate
and these need specialized protection.
I pride myself on asking the right
questions that someone else might over
look,” she said. “When someone has a
catastrophic occurrence and can call me
up and know they are covered financially,
they no longer think insurance is boring,
they are just grateful that they have one
less thing to worry about.”
