A New Dining Experience
Dee Dee Maza brings the food and the atmosphere
Volanti Restaurant and Lounge,
located on the second floor of
the Aviation Business Center at
Scottsdale Airport, is now serving up a
new dining experience.
Volanti serves a classic breakfast,
brunch, lunch and dinner menu with
a farm to table focus and influences
from around the world in an unbeatable
location with views of the airport and
McDowell Mountains.
For owner Dee Dee Maza, the inspiration
has always been close to home. “I
grew up with two grandmas that loved to
cook. I spent most of my childhood getting
recipes from them and trying, most
of the time very badly, to cook like they
did. After years of helping them cook for
all occasions and seeing what an impact
cooking had on the friends and family
they cooked for; I grew to love it even
more and I even got really good at it.”
The new restaurant isn’t the only
thing Maza and the team at Volanti are
building, they are also tapping into Maza’s
experience in catering for a private event
space. The Venue at Volanti is a 4000
square foot private event space and is
dedicated to providing personalized service,
exceptional food and beverage in an
unbeatable atmosphere. In addition, they
have 12 different exclusive footprints at
the Scottsdale Airport for events and do
Private Jet Catering.
“I have had the opportunity to meet
many different people from all over the
world. I have catered to celebrities, musicians,
presidents, princes, authors, and
each one has made an impact on where I
am today,” said Maza.
Events large or small, the Volanti
team aims to make your next event
unforgettable. They pride themselves
on providing premium service, creative
menu options and organized production
throughout the venues and the Scottsdale
Airport.
In addition to the amazing views that
the Airpark provides, for Maza starting the
restaurant in Scottsdale was a no brainer.
“Scottsdale is a powerhouse for business.
I love the many people that I meet that are
from all over the world. I love the environment
that thrives on the success of building
relationships,” she said.
“My vision has always been to gift
my guests with an experience from the
second my phone rings or they walk in
the door,” explains Maza. “I have found
my number one goal, above profit, above
sales, above everything is the power
of relationships and how I can relate
to each guest, employee, vendor, and
give them an experience they will never
forget.”
Coming in November 2019, Maza
and her partner Christine Key, along with
Scottsdale Hangar Events, are creating
a nonprofit and hosting The Scottsdale
Airfest. This event will be a combination of
music, art, aviation, food and libations!
