Hospice to Hospice Walk<br />

Our annual Hospice to Hospice walk will take place<br />

on the Sunday 28th <strong>April</strong> <strong>2019</strong>.<br />

Join us with your friends, family and furry<br />

companions for the seven mile round trip starting<br />

at Springhill Hospice, to Dr Kershaws Hospice and<br />

back again.<br />

Wednesday 10th <strong>April</strong> <strong>2019</strong> at 7.30pm<br />

St Vincent’s Community Centre, Caldershaw Road,<br />

off Edenfield Road, Rochdale OL12 7QR.<br />

We welcome Nigel Hampson who was for many<br />

years curator of the Titanic in Lancashire Museum.<br />

His talk will cover the building of the Titanic, and a<br />

detailed look at the sinking and its aftermath.<br />

When the Titanic was launched it was said to be ‘almost<br />

unsinkable but in the early hours of <strong>April</strong> 15th<br />

1912, whilst on her maiden voyage, the passenger<br />

liner Titanic collided with a gigantic iceberg in the<br />

Atlantic Ocean. The sinking of the Titanic produced<br />

worldwide shock and outrage.<br />

Visitors are welcome at £5 per visit.<br />
