32nd Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race
Considered one of Malaysia’s premier locations for bird watching, this hill resort hosts the
annual Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race. The competition requires different teams of bird
watchers to race against time to spot as many bird species as possible within the resort’s routes.

Fiesta San Pedro
Fiesta San Pedro, or the annual Feast of St. Peter,
is a major event celebrated by the Portuguese
community living at the Portuguese Settlement
in Ujong Pasir, Malacca. The fiesta observes the
feast of St. Peter, the patron saint of fishermen.
Back in the 1930s and 1940s, a majority of the
adult population in Melaka were involved in the
fishing industry. Every year, visitors and foreign
tourists will flock to this settlement to join in
the celebration. Traditional games, stage shows,
band and cultural performances will be held in
conjunction with the event. The celebration is
part of Tourism Malaysia’s calendar of events and
a tourism product for the state.
