the famous WinteRace <strong>2019</strong>.<br />
From 28 February to 3 March <strong>2019</strong>,<br />
50 teams with classic cars registered<br />
until 1976 competed on a 550km long<br />
route in two day stages.<br />
Girard-Perregaux Quasar<br />
Watch<br />
The Girard-Perregaux Quasar is a masterpiece<br />
<strong>of</strong> fine watchmaking and takes its name from<br />
an astronomical object <strong>of</strong> very high luminosity<br />
found in the middle <strong>of</strong> certain galaxies. The<br />
45mm case is made <strong>of</strong> sapphire glass that is antireflective,<br />
and the hands are skeletonised, white<br />
gold, ‘Dauphine’ type with luminescent material.<br />
The bridges made <strong>of</strong> titanium, sandblasted and<br />
then blackened by a PVD treatment visually<br />
contribute to Quasar’s overall transparency<br />
effect. This watch is also water resistant to 30m.<br />
Empowering WinteRace <strong>2019</strong><br />
Girard-Perregaux chooses to present its new<br />
Quasar model, under the auspices <strong>of</strong> the “Earth<br />
to Sky” theme for the first time to the European<br />
public during the WinteRace <strong>2019</strong>. Its philosophy<br />
unites watchmaking with the world <strong>of</strong> motor<br />
sports, both dedicated to the constant search for<br />
new dimensions in technical and technological<br />
