Sie bemängeln beim Thema Industrie 4.0 eine Informationsentkopplung. Warum macht Ihnen das Sorgen? Hämmerle: Manche Unternehmen sind immer noch der Meinung, die Industrie 4.0 sei eine Vision für die weit entfernte Zukunft. Das ist sie nicht. Sie ist im Hier und Heute angekommen. Die Unternehmen stehen jetzt vor der Herausforderung, neue Technologien für betriebliche Prozesse einzuführen. Und dabei müssen sie auch die Mitarbeiter mitnehmen. Veränderungen sind nur dann erfolgreich, wenn sie positive wirtschaftliche Effekte haben und wenn sie von der Belegschaft mitgetragen werden. Zusammengefasst: Wer Digitalisierungsprojekte angeht, ohne die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter einzubinden, wird grandios scheitern. Ganz konkret: Wie können Unternehmen diese Informationsentkopplung vermeiden? Pokorni: Wie man seine Belegschaft mit auf die Reise in die digitale Zukunft nehmen kann, zeigt beispielsweise Festo. Das Unternehmen veranstaltet in seinem Werk unter anderem eine Schnitzeljagd zum Thema Industrie 4.0. Dabei werden die Mitarbeiter auf vielfältige Weise an die neue Welt herangeführt. Wir hier am Fraunhofer IAO haben auch ein Planspiel für Unternehmen entwickelt – für alle Mitarbeiter bis hin zum Vorstand. Ziel ist es, die Menschen zu befähigen, eine aktive Rolle im Wandel zu übernehmen. Unsere Erfahrung ist, die Menschen öffnen sich dem Thema, weil sie sehen, dass die Zukunft vielleicht doch gar nicht so schlecht wird, wie sie sich diese vorgestellt haben. Wer Interesse an diesem Spiel – Akteure 4.0 – hat, kann sich gerne bei uns melden. Wie lauten Ihre Empfehlungen an die Unternehmen? Hämmerle: Den ersten Schritt haben wir eben beschrieben. Nach der Sensibilisierung folgt dann im zweiten Schritt ein erster Anwendungsfall als Leuchtturmprojekt, über den breit berichtet wird. You criticize the isolation of information when it comes to the topic of Industry 4.0. Why are you worried? Hämmerle: Some companies still believe that Industry 4.0 is a vision for the distant future. But it‘s not. It‘s already here. Companies are now facing the challenge of introducing new technologies into operational processes. And they also need to make sure their employees are up to speed. Changes are only successful when they have positive economic effects and if they are supported by the workforce. In summary: If you try to implement digitization projects without involving your employees, it will be a spectacular failure. In concrete terms: How can companies avoid this isolation of information? Pokorni: Festo is a good example of how to take your workforce on a journey into the digital future. Among other activities, the company is organizing a scavenger hunt on Industry 4.0 in its factory. Employees are introduced to the new world in many ways. Here at the Fraunhofer IAO, we have also developed a simulation game for companies – and for all employees right up to the management board. The goal is to empower people to take an active role in implementing changes. In our experience, people are becoming more open to the topic because they see that the future may not be as bad as they imagined. After sensitization, the second step includes initial application as a lighthouse project, which is widely reported. In the third step, employees take on an active role. Applications can be identified and developed together with them. For this, employees also need a greater degree of freedom. They learn what it means for the organization of 35
