Freemason’s
big night for
local charity
by Simon Russell
THE Javea Lodge of the
Freemasons held a hog
roast and garden party
last weekend, raising an
incredible €1,609 for local
causes.
The venue was the home
of Worshipful Master Nigel
Parker and his wife Susie,
with music provided by Diamond
Jack, featuring renowned
local drummer Geoff
Britton, ex of Wings among
other groups.
The evening was held to
support Todos Juntos Javea
and the Javea Autism Association
which is hoping to raise
€1,000 for a multi sensory
room, enabling the children
to stimulate their senses and
help their condition. Provincial
Grand Master Michael
Shilan generously pledged to
make the sum up to €2,000
using a donation from the
provincial charity fund.
