Nursing Colleagues:<br />
On behalf of the <strong>Mississippi</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong>’ <strong>Association</strong>’s Board of Directors, I am honored to welcome<br />
you to the <strong>Mississippi</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong>’ <strong>Association</strong>’s 108th <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Convention</strong>, Patients, Purpose,<br />
Passion: The Pathway to Nursing Success. This year’s <strong>Convention</strong> offers so many opportunities<br />
to participate in sessions addressing clinical, leadership and trending topics in healthcare. I<br />
know you’ll also enjoy joining with your colleagues from across the State of <strong>Mississippi</strong> and our<br />
surrounding states as you experience this much-anticipated event!<br />
Our Yellow Brick Road Expo provides you the perfect opportunity to connect with our numerous<br />
exhibitors and obtain information on the latest products and services. Don’t miss an opportunity<br />
to network with your colleagues at the University of <strong>Mississippi</strong> Medical Center School of<br />
Nursing Alumni Reception for alumni and friends at the Biloxi Visitors Center on Wednesday<br />
evening. Join in the fun by participating in the Wizard of Nursing Costume Contest on<br />
Thursday!<br />
To those of you who are representing your District at the MNA House of Delegates, I commend<br />
you for your dedication! As a participant at the House of Delegates, you are instrumental in<br />
determining the strategic direction of MNA. This year’s House of Delegates will convene on<br />
Wednesday, October 23rd to elect four MNA Board positions: President; Treasurer; Director,<br />
Council on Nursing Education; and Director, Council on Organizational Affairs, along with three<br />
members for the Committee on Nominations. The House of Delegates is important to MNA and to<br />
the advancement of the nursing profession.<br />
I look forward to getting to know you better during <strong>Convention</strong> and again, thank you for being a<br />
part of this extraordinary event!<br />
