On behalf of the Mississippi Nurses’ Association’s Board of Directors, I am honored to welcome
you to the Mississippi Nurses’ Association’s 108th Annual Convention, Patients, Purpose,
Passion: The Pathway to Nursing Success. This year’s Convention offers so many opportunities
to participate in sessions addressing clinical, leadership and trending topics in healthcare. I
know you’ll also enjoy joining with your colleagues from across the State of Mississippi and our
surrounding states as you experience this much-anticipated event!
Our Yellow Brick Road Expo provides you the perfect opportunity to connect with our numerous
exhibitors and obtain information on the latest products and services. Don’t miss an opportunity
to network with your colleagues at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of
Nursing Alumni Reception for alumni and friends at the Biloxi Visitors Center on Wednesday
evening. Join in the fun by participating in the Wizard of Nursing Costume Contest on
Thursday!
To those of you who are representing your District at the MNA House of Delegates, I commend
you for your dedication! As a participant at the House of Delegates, you are instrumental in
determining the strategic direction of MNA. This year’s House of Delegates will convene on
Wednesday, October 23rd to elect four MNA Board positions: President; Treasurer; Director,
Council on Nursing Education; and Director, Council on Organizational Affairs, along with three
members for the Committee on Nominations. The House of Delegates is important to MNA and to
the advancement of the nursing profession.
