Der Solitär am neuen Mutter-Ey-Platz markiert den Eingang
ins Andreas Quartier und bildet das Torhaus des neuen
Wohnviertels.
Der freistehende, 5-geschossige Kubus zeigt ein Wechselspiel
von geschlossenen Beton- und transparenten Glasflächen
und sorgt mit seiner strengen, kompromisslosen Form für
einen Kontrapunkt in der umliegenden Bausubstanz. Der
Neubau bietet flexibel teilbare Büroflächen und beherbergt im
Erdgeschoss, in direkter Nähe zu zwei Kunstmuseen, das „Mutter
Ey Cafe“, das sich zu einem großzügigen Ausstellungsraum für
Nachwuchskünstler im 1. OG hin öffnet.

The stand-alone Solitaire building on the new Mutter-Ey-Platz
marks the entrance to the Andreas Quartier, forming a gate
house for the new residential district.
A free-standing, five-storey cube, it features a pattern of
opaque concrete and transparent glass surfaces and presents
a strong, uncompromising form which offers a counterpoint
to the surrounding built environment. The new build houses
flexible, modular office space and, on the ground floor, close to
the two art museums, the Mutter Ey Café which opens out onto
a generous exhibition space for up-and coming artists on the
first floor.
