IMPORTANT COMMITTEES
HESIO
The health, safety and hygiene of our scholars, students and employees in their working and learning
environment is a top priority. The HESIO committee meets quarterly to discuss and monitor the group’s
progress in this regard as well as in Employment Equity (EE), skills development, social responsibility and as
investors in people.
To ensure that our sites are compliant with both International and South African best practice standards, as part of the
group’s overall commitment to student and employee well-being, the group conducts external audits.
Please ask your safety officer to direct you to escape plans and HESIO members to familiarise yourself with the environment.
Of course, incidents are not common but we always need to be prepared and we will ensure that you are.

requirements.
ESTABLISHING
a forum to discuss
and enforce
adherence to
occupational health
and safety matters.
MONITORING
the implementation
of initiatives aimed
at being “Investorsin-People”.
ASSISTING
in making
ADvTECH a “great
place to work.”
