TransportationSchool or Passenger Bus LicenseAdvanced school bus training will enhance your driving skills tothe next level. Whether you are looking for a new occupation orwant to experience the great feeling of helping people get totheir desired destinations, this course is for you. Using an actualschool bus and driving simulators you will obtain the skills todrive a bus in all types of situations. During this course you willlearn to drive a school bus in many rural and urban situations.You will learn to maneuver, the school bus around corners, overrailroad tracks, through backing exercises, and many other reallife experiences that occur while driving. You will complete thisclass with the confidence of driving a full length bus with handsonexperiences under the direction of experienced bus drivers.Class will conclude with the confidence to pass DOT tests andobtain a bus driving position. This course is much more thanyour average training. This program meets the requirement ofthe Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor VehiclesDivision (DMV) for teenagers to obtain the graduated driver’slicense (GDL). Students are not required to have any drivingpractice before coming to class. However, your child will berequired to be proficient in their driving at the end of our courseor they will be requested to drive with the DOT to get theirlicense. Attendence is required for ALL sessions.
