ADULT LANGUAGE/HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETIONENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING (ELL)HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETIONAdult Language / High School CompletionEnglish Language instruction assists individuals of limitedEnglish proficiency achieve competence in the English language.Students are required to register and take an entry assessmentto determine the appropriate class level. ELL classes are availablein eight different levels. Classes meet at the Van G. Miller AdultLearning Center, 120 Jefferson Street, Waterloo.Punctual and regular attendance is absolutely necessary forsuccess. The programalso provides one-on-one assistance to parents interested intransferring to college credit coursework. Call 319-296-4278for more information.The High School Completion Program is free and offersstandards-based instruction to prepare students for successfulcompletion of HiSET tests and to improve their basic skills inreading, writing, and mathematics.
