8-Hour Nurse Aide Refresher
This course will help facilitate your re-entry into the long-term
care workforce. This is not the complete Nurse Aide course.
You will review content and skills to prepare you for the state
competency test.

Nurse Aide Competency Exam - Skills
To fulfill the training requirements of OBRA for nurse aides
working in nursing facilities and skilled nursing facilities,
completion of a minimum 75-hour course and a written and
skills competency examination is required. Bring your ORIGINAL
Social Security card and a photo ID to testing or you will not
be allowed to test. If you forget the required identification, you
are late, or you miss or are dismissed from your session, you will
not be allowed to test and you will not receive a refund. It is
recommended you register for the written and skills exams for
the same date and time. On test days you must show up by
7:45 a.m. for 8:00 a.m. testing, 12:15 p.m. for the 12:30 p.m.
testing and 4:45 p.m. for the 5:00 p.m. testing.
Note: Classes meet at Van G. Miller Adult Learning Center.

Nurse Aide Competency Exam - Written
To fulfill the training requirements of OBRA for nurse aides
working in nursing facilities and skilled nursing facilities,

a computerized test unless arrangements are made at least two
weeks prior to testing. Bring your ORIGINAL Social Security card
and a photo ID to testing or you will not be allowed to test. If you

you will not receive a refund. It is recommended you register for
the written and skills exams for the same date and time. On test
