Geothermal systems continue to be one of the largest topics
of discussion in the HVAC industry. This session will cover the
history of this growing area in HVAC. Exploring its origins – is
it a new technology? What led to its rise in interest? How
do geothermal systems compare in efficiency to standard
systems and how to main a geothermal system to achieve
highest efficiency. The discussion will also reference terms
and equations used in the geothermal industry. This course
is approved by the Iowa Plumbing and Mechanical Systems
Board to fulfill two hours of HVAC and Mechanical continuing
education discipline for HVAC and mechanical license renewal.

In the last two decades, Indoor air quality becomes a very
important topic of discussion in the HVAC industry. The U.S.
EPA considers indoor air quality to be among the top four
environmental health concerns in the United States. This session
will cover, why IAQ is very important, what is the cause to poor
IAQ, discuss the solution to poor IAQ, and how it’s related to
energy. This course is approved by the Iowa Plumbing and
Mechanical Systems Board to fulfill two hours of continuing
education discipline for HVAC and mechanical license renewal.

precision measurement and gauging, turning and milling
processes, and mill and lathe programming and operation.
This course will prepare you for an entry-level position as
a CNC (computer numerical control) machine operator or
machinist. Your skills can be used in a variety of manufacturing
environments to set up and operate a CNC machine, inspect
parts, and perform production runs. Earn an OSHA 10-Hour
General Industry card as part of this course.

Industrial Hydraulics Training Seminar
Participants will learn how to identify basic fluid power
operating principles and fluid power symbols, understand
terminology used, and read fluid power blueprints. In addition,
you will receive hands-on experience working with fluid power
components and their operations, identify fluid power graphic
circuit prints, demonstrate how to set up and operate fluid
power circuits and repair and evaluate fluid power component

Production Welding Certificate
Participants will learn proper weld safety, machine set-up, and
welding procedures of Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) along
with fundamentals of welding related to blueprint reading. A
math review of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals is also
included. Students learn techniques and processes to weld
carbon steel in the flat, horizontal, and vertical positions and
will be able to fabricate a weldment from a blueprint to industry
standards. Earning a 10-hour OSHA card is also included.
Students will complete an AWS groove weld qualification test at
the end of the program.
