This morning you’ll explore Augusta
before heading to Charleston,
South Carolina.
DAYS 4-5: ANTEBELLUM
PLANTATION & SAVANNAH
Take a guided tour of Charleston before
joining an optional tour to the Boone Hall
Plantation (bookable locally). Stop at Port
Royal Island to explore Beaufort en-route
to Savannah, where you can explore it’s
22 historic squares.

DAY 9: BATON ROUGE & NATCHEZ
Take a tour of Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s
capital city before travelling along the
historic Natchez Trace Parkway en-route
to Nachez. Enjoy exceptional scenery
and years of Native American and
European history.
DAY 10: MEMPHIS
Arrive in Memphis and head to Beale
Street, the city’s liveliest street, lined with
clubs that play blues and other types of
music every night. There’s even the
option of visiting Graceland, Elvis
Presley’s home (bookable locally).

Let the good times roll in New Orleans: a food lover’s paradise,
melting pot of culture and hip music hub
You know the scene: the saxophonist
playing jazz on the street, the ornate
balconies and the pastel-coloured
architecture – you’re going to love New
Orleans. Known for its colonial French
Quarter, the Big Easy is a melting pot of
French, American and Creole cultures. It
abounds with lively clubs, a mysterious
voodoo history and a gritty southern
vibe. Let’s not forget the annual Mardi
Gras celebrations. When you watch the
parades of masked dancers, you’ll be
hooked on this city.
FOOD
Trying Creole and Cajun food is a must,
but don’t miss Antoine’s Restaurant
either. Dating back to 1840, it’s the oldest
continuously running eatery in Louisiana.
Try the gumbo, a stew that originates
from Choctaw Native Americans.
RIVER CRUISE
We highly recommend you take a tour on
the Mississippi River on a traditional
paddlewheeler. As you sip on a Sazerac,
there’ll be live jazz bands and historic
sites such as the location of the 1815
Battle of New Orleans.

DAY 6: SAVANNAH & MONTGOMERY
Today, you’ll head back west through the
state of Georgia and into Alabama to the
capital city, Montgomery. Explore the
Rosa Parks Library and Museum and
learn about the infamous Montgomery
Bus Boycott that Rosa Parks inspired.
DAY 7: SELMA & NEW ORLEANS
Start the day in Selma, the centre of the
Civil Rights Movement. before your
journey south to New Orleans, where
you’ll dine in style aboard a riverboat
dinner cruise to the rhythms of a
Dixieland jazz band (bookable locally).
DAY 8: NEW ORLEANS
Take the day to wander New Orleans
and explore whatever takes your fancy.
DAYS 11-12: NASHVILLE
Continue your journey on to Nashville,
the capital of country music. Explore the
newly renovated Ryman Auditorium, the
former home of the Grand Ole Opry, and
the studios near Music Row.
DAY 13: CHATTANOOGA
Head to Chattanooga, home to the
famous Choo Choo. In the afternoon
journey back to Atlanta and explore the
city, perhaps visiting the Georgia
Aquarium, World of Coca Cola or the
CNN Center.
DAY 14: ATLANTA
Bid farewell to this wonderful, vibrant
part of America and make your way to
Atlanta International Airport.
