WHERE TO STAY
11-DAY SELF-DRIVE ITINERARY
CLASSIC QUÉBEC
MOTORHOME TOUR
QUÉBEC CITY
Fairmont Le Château Frontenac
This suggested motorhome tour of Québec allows you to explore this
stunning province. By selecting your own campsites you are able to adapt
the itinerary to suit your needs, whether it’s more nights in the mountains
or relaxing beside a lake, there is plenty to explore.
DAYS 1-2: MONT-TREMBLANT
NATIONAL PARK
Pick up your Motorhome from Montréal and
then hit the road for an easy drive to
Mont-Tremblant National Park, an ideal
place to start your holiday in Québec.
DAY 3: MANDEVILLE
Today, for a special treat before you leave
Mont-Tremblant, take an exhilarating
helicopter ride and view Québec’s vast
and pristine forests from the sky. Then, a
short and scenic drive through the
countryside brings you to the Lanaudière
region. Spend the afternoon relaxing at a
lakeside campground.
DAYS 4-5: RIVIÈRE MATAWIN
La Mauricie National Park is another
exceptional place to spend a few days in
Québec’s great outdoors. Try the
excursion to Waber Falls, picnic and swim
at one of the park’s most beautiful
waterfalls after travelling on foot and by
canoe, or try rafting or canyoning instead.
DAY 6: SAINT-HENRI-DE-TAILLON
Today take a backcountry route and arrive
at one of Québec’s natural wonders, Lac
Saint-Jean. So large, it is essentially an
inland sea, explore its warm waters, sandy
beaches and stunning coastlines. Be sure
to visit Val-Jalbert, a preserved company
town from the 1920s and the wildlife park
at Saint-Félicien.
DAY 7: L’ANSESAINT-JEAN
This morning, visit the Saguenay Fjord –
North America’s most southerly fjord. Take
a walk amongst its dramatic rock walks or
head to the village of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord
for fantastic views of the fjord. Allow for a
full day in the area to sail, cruise or kayak
in search of the white beluga whales that
call the fjord home.
DAY 8: HAUTES-GORGES-
DE-LA-RIVIÈRE-MALBAIE
NATIONAL PARK
Travel south into the stunning Charlevoix
region, with its incredible high rock faces
and dramatic views. Spend at least one
full day in the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-
Rivière-Malbaie National Park to hike or
cycle the majestic trails or stop en route at
Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs for black bear
observation.
DAY 9: JACQUES-CARTIER
NATIONAL PARK
Discover the heart of the Charlevoix
region on the Route des Saveurs, a
flavour trail highlighting the region’s
many gastronomic delights. Stop in
Baie-Saint-Paul for a gourmet lunch,
before arriving later at one of Québec’s
most spectacular parks, Jacques-Cartier
National Park. Be sure to visit the
Wendake Hurons Village to learn about
Québec’s First Nations people.
DAY 10: MONTRÉAL VIA
QUÉBEC CITY
No visit to this province would be
complete without a stop in romantic
Québec City. Arguably North America’s
most charming city, it remains as the
only walled city north of Mexico,
containing charming cobbled lanes
brimming with cosy bistros and unusual
boutiques. To better appreciate the
atmosphere of the old town, stay a
night to enjoy a romantic dinner at one
of the city’s top restaurants and an
evening stroll along the citadel
and fortifications.
DAY 11: RETURN TO UK
Enjoy a final breakfast before returning
your Motorhome to the Cruise Canada
Montréal depot.
