EXPERIENCE NEW YORK
Whether you want to check out the hottest new cocktail bars, enjoy some
world-class shopping or see all the famous sights from the ‘Big Screen’ –
just make sure you visit at least once in your lifetime
SEE THE SIGHTS
A sightseer’s paradise, every turn you
take in New York City will lead you to
more iconic buildings, monuments, parks
and bridges that you’ll likely recognise
from the Big Screen. Stand beside the
Statue of Liberty, as she looks out over
the Hudson River. Scale the Empire State
Building to the Observation Deck on the
86th floor, with views right across the city.
Head to Times Square and experience
one of the most vivid, bustling and truly
alive places on Earth, then take a
moment to pause at the site of the
original World Trade Center and the
9/11 Memorial.
SEE A SHOW
Whether you see a classic musical on
or off Broadway we recommend this as
a must on any trip to New York. Head
uptown to The Metropolitan Opera to see
some of the most creative and talented
operatic performances or immerse
yourself in a performance of the New
York Philharmonic Orchestra at the
Lincoln Center.
STROLL IN THE PARK
Central Park is a true one off. This vast
open space sits in the centre of
Manhattan, taking up 3.4 square
kilometres of the world’s most valuable

real estate. Skyscrapers edge the
grounds, making for some truly
astonishing vistas. You can even dine
inside the park at the Loeb Boathouse,
an institution established in 1854. The
park is equally jaw dropping from above;
there’s a great view from the observation
deck at the top of the Rockefeller Center.
RETAIL THERAPY
Few cities can compete with Manhattan’s
shopping experience. Fifth Avenue is
one of the world’s most exclusive
districts, and is where you’ll find
legendary institutions like Tiffany & Co,
Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales.
If you are looking for more of a
luxury shopping experience, head to
Madison Avenue to browse the
designer boutiques.
WHAT’S NEW IN THE CITY?
Hudson Yards has become the newest
New York neighbourhood on the city’s
Westside since opening in 2019. Along
with 14 acres of public open space, it has
one of the highest outdoor observation
decks in the western hemisphere called
the Edge located on the 100th floor.
Make sure you ascend the Vessel, a
striking outdoor attraction which has a
154 staircases with 80 viewing platforms
in a honeycomb-like structure.
NYC RESTAURANT WEEK
Restaurant week runs twice a year
for at least ten days from mid to end
of January to the beginning of February
and again in mid-summer, you can dine
in some of the city’s finest restaurants
for a fraction of the normal price.
We recommend booking a table in
advance to avoid disappointment.
MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
Held each year on Thanksgiving Day,
the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
is an iconic and unmissable celebration
of the iconic American holiday.
Thousands of people join the parade,
marching the streets of Manhattan. With
dazzling costumes, giant helium balloon
characters, fun floats and marching bands.
ROCKEFELLER CENTER CHRISTMAS
TREE LIGHTING
The iconic Christmas tree that stands
outside of the Rockefeller Center each
holiday season is lit for the first time each
year around late November or early
December, attracting thousands of
visitors and locals.
