PHILADELPHIA
Home to many symbols of the United States’ freedom, Philadelphia is a city that’s adored
by many Americans. It’s every bit a modern city, buzzing with energy and full of diverse
neighbourhoods, and yet there’s history to be seen everywhere
NIGHTLIFE
With countless rooftop and piano bars,
you can find yourself sipping on a cocktail
in no time. Visit the Assembly Rooftop
Lounge to see the city from nine floors up
and enjoy a drink next to a firepit, while
Benjamin Franklin Parkway sits below you.
Craft beer fans will love North Liberties
bar and brewery scene. Or, if you’re
visiting between May and September, try
the Bok Bar in south Philadelphia for
incredible views of the city skyline.
SEE THE SIGHTS
Walk the same streets as America’s
founding fathers to the Independence
Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
where the Declaration of Independence
was signed, creating the United
States of America. Head to nearby
Liberty Hall to view the famous
Liberty Bell, which rang to summon
the citizens of Philadelphia to hear
the first public reading of the
Declaration in 1776.

GO FURTHER AFIELD
Philadelphia is a city of vibrant and
dynamic neighbourhoods, each with its
own distinctive personality and
attractions. Head to Fishtown along the
Delaware River, historically known for its
fishing industry, but now its narrow
colourful streets boasting music venues,
galleries, restaurants and some of the
city’s best breweries. For more of a
cultured scene hire a bike and ride
around Old City – still featuring
cobblestone streets and plenty of
18th-century charm. Explore Bella
Vista in the south of the city for its
incredible Italian heritage and familyowned
restaurants.
PHILADELPHIA BEER WEEK
Philadelphia has been dubbed the best
beer drinking city in America, so it’s only
natural that the city has a ten day
celebration of beer each year. With lots
of beer-related activities across the city,
like tastings, beer-pairing dinners, and
even home brew competitions.
This celebration is well worth a trip
to Philadelphia for any beer-lover.
