EXPERIENCE ONTARIO
From city sightseeing to outdoor adventures, Ontario has thousands of exciting experiences for
all the family. Here are some of our favourite places and things to see and do in the province:
TORONTO
Cool and cosmopolitan, Toronto offers a
mix of gravity-defying skyscrapers, leafy
parks and lakeside charm. Known as
Canada’s entertainment capital there’s
no shortage of things to do, from St.
Lawrence Market and Old Town, to the
famous CN Tower and historic Casa Loma
Edwardian Castle. For a unique and fun
way to experience one of Toronto’s most
beautiful areas – the historic Distillery
District, why not take a Segway tour,
travelling in small groups with a
local guide.
ALGONQUIN PROVINCIAL PARK
Located just a three hour drive from
Toronto this vast park with its rolling maple
hills, high rocky ridges and over 2,000
lakes is exactly how you’d imagine a
Canadian forest. Ideal for exploring, swim
or kayak in the clear waters, hike the
many interpretive trails or cycle along an
abandoned railway line, all while looking
out for the resident moose, bears and
common loons.
OTTAWA
Full of national sites, landmarks and
museums, Canada’s capital city is well
worth a visit. Offering a wonderful blend
of old and new, visit in summer and enjoy
a picnic in front of Parliament Hill or a
bicycle ride along the Rideau Canal. In
winter, the canal transforms into the
world’s longest skating rinks complete
with on-ice shops and steaming cups of
hot chocolate.

GEORGIAN BAY ISLANDS
NATIONAL PARK
The world’s largest freshwater
archipelago accessible only by boat,
adventure here is easy with wooded
trails perfect for cycling and hiking routes
to viewpoints overlooking the emerald
shoreline. Only two hours north of
Toronto, our favourite time to visit is the
autumn for the vibrant colourful foliage.
NIAGARA REGION
Whether you view the mighty Niagara
Falls from below on the Hornblower
Voyage to the Falls cruise, take a journey
behind the falls to explore the tunnels
behind the thundering curtain of water or
stand at the brink of the falls at Table
Rock, there are so many ways to explore
this magnificent wonder of the world.
Around half an hour away along the
scenic Niagara Parkway, you’ll find the
pretty town of Niagara-on-the-Lake
with its quaint shops, galleries and
restaurants. It’s well worth spending a
night or two at the charming boutique
hotels here.
MANITOULIN ISLAND
Immerse yourself into the nature and
culture of North Eastern Ontario from an
Aboriginal perspective on the largest
freshwater island in the world, Manitoulin.
We recommend taking a journey along
the Great Spirit Circle Trail with tours
guided by the Anishnawbek people.
You’ll be able to retrace ancient canoe
routes, attend a pow-wow and learn
about traditional crafts.
