EXPERIENCE
BRITISH COLUMBIA
From mighty mountains and glaciers, to rugged rainforests and coastlines, British Columbia
is a natural utopia that bursts with wilderness waiting to be explored. Here are some of our
favourite attractions and places to visit:
WHALE WATCHING
Discover whales in a completely
different light, with a spectacular sunset
evening cruise from Victoria on
Vancouver Island. One of the best ways
to view these incredible giants, as the
evening departures mean less boats
and crowds and guaranteed whale
sightings – creating a truly unique
atmosphere, experience watching the
whales breaching as the sun sets over
the horizon. A truly unforgettable
experience.
CAPILANO SUSPENSION BRIDGE
Walk along the cedar scented rainforest
air and towering evergreens at Capilano
Suspension Bridge Park. One of the most
popular tourist attractions just outside
Vancouver, it offers seven different
suspended footbridges with breathtaking
views 110 feet above the forest floor. Try
the Cliffwalk – a granite precipice along
the Capilano River with a labyrinth-like
series of narrow bridges and platforms
with only 16 anchor points supporting the
structure – not for the faint hearted.

PACIFIC RIM NATIONAL
PARK RESERVE
With its lush, green rainforests, historic
First Nations culture and endless sandy
beaches, Pacific Rim is a pristine
wilderness teeming with wildlife, on the
west coast of Vancouver Island. Enjoy a
summer stroll along the rocky shores, hit
the water for bear and whale spotting by
boat or kayak, or simply relax around a
campfire listening to ancient legends
performed by Guardians of the West
Coast Trail.
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
One of British Colombia’s lesser known
parks, Glacier, is a year-round paradise,
with exceptional alpine scenery and
deep valleys filled with ancient forests
forests, and just a four hour drive from
Calgary. Scale its thrilling heights, take a
gentle stroll amid moss draped
old-growth cedars or hike through alpine
meadows strewn with lichen-covered
boulders. Take some time to learn about
the history of Rogers Pass, the final link in
the countries railway that brought
Canada together as a nation.
