BROOMFIELD HOSPITAL TO HOLD FIRST

EVER CHRISTMAS PRESENT DROP ON

SATURDAY 7TH DECEMBER

THURSDAY 5th DECEMBER

6pm til late

We are hosting a Xmas shopping and beauty event!

Come and join us for a fun evening in conjunction with All

Dolled Up Essex, Overboard Food Co, Jagged Edge and Bar Vino

Make up demonstrations, hair demos and advice plus lots of

fab foodie nibbles and more .... (work in progress)

I’ll be supplying fizz and fun and lots of great gifting ideas plus

some little treats in store.

It’s going to be a great evening,

put it in your diary my lovelies!

Christmas at Broomfield Hospital promises to be bigger and better

this year as we hold our first ever present drop on Saturday 7th

December.

If you’d like to make a donation to the hospital, come along to the

main hospital atrium from 10am – 2pm and get into the Christmas

spirit.

At midday, the motorcycling Santas of the Dengie and South Essex

Bikers will be arriving from Burnham-on-Crouch to donate toys to

Phoenix children’s ward, and at 2pm the fantastic Funky Voices choir

will be here to entertain everyone with renditions of festive favourites.

Nobody wants to be away from home for Christmas and some patients

may not have families to visit them. By purchasing a present for

someone spending Christmas in hospital, you can help spread cheer

and bring smiles to faces on Christmas morning.

If you want to give something to a ward or department at Broomfield

but are not sure what to buy, this year we are asking for gifts for our

elderly patients. Washbags and toiletries, puzzle and colouring books,

and socks would all be perfect presents for our senior citizens.

If you’d prefer to purchase something for patients on our children’s

wards, any PG or U-rated DVDs, colouring books or infant

development toys would be gratefully received.

Charlotte Jefcoate, fundraising coordinator for Mid Essex Hospitals

Charity, said: “Every year we receive wonderful donations from

individuals, businesses and our community of fundraisers. I’d like to

invite everyone who is thinking about giving to the hospital along on

the first Saturday in December.

“The charity team and the Friends at Broomfield will be in the atrium,

so please pop in, say hello, and help make a patient’s Christmas.”
