Hybrit appoints new managing director<br />
Hybrit Development AB, owned by<br />
SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall, has appointed<br />
Eva Vitell as the new managing director.<br />
Hybrit Development is a joint venture<br />
between the steel manufacturer SSAB,<br />
the mining company LKAB and the energy<br />
company Vattenfall. The objective of the<br />
joint venture is to develop the world’s first<br />
fossil-free, ore-based steelmaking process.<br />
The project started in 2<strong>01</strong>6 and the<br />
goal is to have an industrial process in<br />
place by 2035.<br />
In her new role, Eva Vitell<br />
will drive development work,<br />
develop the organization and<br />
ensure that the ambitious<br />
schedule for Hybrit remains<br />
on track. Eva Vitell joins<br />
Hybrit Development from<br />
Vattenfall Electricity Distribution,<br />
where she was responsible<br />
for customers and market.<br />
