decidimos comprar e expandir o
empreendimento em 2013. Ao
longo desses anos, o shopping se
fortaleceu e hoje é considerado
um dos principais complexos de
uso misto não apenas da região,
mas da rede. Adquirimos, no
fim do ano passado, mais 15%
do negócio o que demonstra o
quanto acreditamos no potencial
de crescimento da região, além
de refletir uma estratégia maior
da companhia de fortalecer sua
posição na região Sudeste, que
é o mais importante polo de
consumo do país.

Since we opened the first
Iguatemi shopping mall in the
interior of São Paulo in 1980,
we have focused on this region.
Sorocaba is one of the most
important cities in the state
and, therefore, we decided to
buy and expand the project in
2013. Over the years, the mall
has grown stronger and today
is considered one of the main
mixed-use complexes not only in
the region, but in the chain. We
acquired, at the end of last year,
another 15% of the business,
which shows how much we
believe in the potential of
growth in the region, in addition
to reflecting a greater strategy
of the company to strengthen
its position in the Southeast
region, which is the most
important consumption pole in
the country.
