Chinese delegation visits <strong>Sorocaba</strong><br />
Received by Mayor Jaqueline Coutinho, a delegation<br />
of Chinese authorities paid an official visit to the<br />
municipality to expand commercial, industrial and<br />
government relations. The group included officials from<br />
the Wuxi region, a sister city of <strong>Sorocaba</strong> located near<br />
the East Coast of China, interested in knowing details<br />
of the administration, legislation and strengthening<br />
business relationships.<br />

diverse areas. With innovative initiatives and leading<br />
role in the use of technological resources, the municipality<br />
is revolutionizing the business environment by creating<br />

consolidated entrepreneurs and pave the way for new<br />
businesses. In <strong>Sorocaba</strong>, the Municipal Administration<br />
works in partnership with productive sectors in search<br />

When it comes to business, <strong>Sorocaba</strong> ranks 36th<br />
among the more than 5,570 municipalities in the<br />
country and the 17th in the state in the ranking that<br />
evaluates the best cities to do business with. This is what<br />
a survey carried out by Urban Systems - a reference<br />
company in market intelligence and consultancy -<br />
reveals in its ranking of the “100 Best Cities to Do<br />
Business, 2019 edition”.<br />

articulating and promoting the development of<br />

Lecture guides new business in the USA<br />
The Honorary Consul of Brazil in Orlando, United<br />
States, Joel Stewart, was at the Technological Park of<br />
<strong>Sorocaba</strong> and gave the lecture “Internationalization<br />
of Companies in the USA: Opportunities and<br />
Procedures”, which addressed possibilities of doing<br />
business and receiving US investments. The process of<br />
companies internationalization is one of the focuses of<br />
the Technology Park, which also received representatives<br />
from the Brazilian Institute for the Development of<br />
International Business Relationships to coordinate the<br />
organization of an event in order to show <strong>Sorocaba</strong><br />
companies business formats with the foreign market.<br />
