pierre noire et définit les volumes et la luminosité par un bel usage de l’estompe.
This lovely Head of a Child can be compared with a certain number of drawings by
Petro Fancelli, an artist from Bologna who worked in the wake of the Gandolfi family,
which is proved by his precise and soft graphic style. He traced outlines in black chalk
and defined volumes and luminosity masterly using stumping.
