1854 et représentant l’histoire <strong>de</strong> France <strong>de</strong>s origines jusqu’à Charlemagne.<br />

These two studies of men are preparatory for two figures in the cul-<strong>de</strong>-four of the western<br />

apse of the Conference Hall in the Palais <strong>de</strong> Luxembourg. They were executed by<br />

Lehman in 1854 and represent French history from the beginning up to Charlemagne.<br />
