Ce pastel <strong>de</strong> très gran<strong>de</strong>s dimensions, représentant <strong>de</strong>ux petites marchan<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> fleurs,<br />

est l’œuvre <strong>de</strong> Francine Char<strong>de</strong>ron. Cette élève d’Ernest Hébert et <strong>de</strong> Carolus-Duran<br />

ouvrit son propre atelier à Lyon et se spécialisa dans les portraits, particulièrement les<br />

portraits d’enfants. Elle exposa régulièrement dans les salons <strong>de</strong> peinture <strong>de</strong> Lyon.<br />

This very large-size pastel representing two flower girls has been executed by Francine<br />

Char<strong>de</strong>ron. This pupil of Ernest Hébert and Carolus-Duran opened her own workshop<br />

in Lyon and specialised in portraits, particularly children’s portraits. She regularly<br />

exhibited at the Salons of painting in Lyon.<br />
